What kind of work fits you best?

30-question Holland RIASEC assessment used by career counselors since 1959. Six dimensions, hexagonal radar output, matched against 100+ specific career paths.

How the assessment works

John Holland's RIASEC framework (1959, refined through the 1990s) categorizes work environments and personalities along six dimensions: Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social, Enterprising, Conventional. Used by US Department of Labor (O*NET) and most professional career counselors.

Each of the 30 questions probes one dimension. Your top three (the "Holland Code") are matched against career profiles in the database, with weighting by which combinations matter most for each role.

Hexagonal radar: the standard RIASEC visualization. Adjacent codes (e.g., RI, IA) tend to share traits; opposite codes (e.g., R↔S, I↔E) usually conflict. Reading the shape of your hexagon tells you whether your interests are concentrated or spread.

What it isn't: a personality test, an IQ test, or a guarantee of success in any field. It's a structured starting point for career exploration, not a deterministic answer.
