JSON Formatter & Validator

Last updated:

Paste JSON, get it pretty-printed, minified, or validated with a line/column error pointer — all in your browser, nothing uploaded.

How it works

  • Format pretty-prints your JSON with 2, 4, or 8-space indentation using the browser’s native JSON.parse / JSON.stringify.
  • Minify collapses it to a single line with no extra whitespace — useful for shrinking a payload before pasting it somewhere space-constrained.
  • Invalid JSON shows the parser’s error message plus a line/column pointer when the browser’s engine reports one, so you don’t have to eyeball a wall of minified text to find a missing comma or an unquoted key.

Runs entirely in your browser — nothing you paste here is uploaded, logged, or stored. Closing or refreshing the tab clears it; there’s no autosave, by design, since JSON pasted into a formatter can contain API keys or other sensitive data.
