What will my body look like in 6 months?
Mifflin-St Jeor BMR + TDEE + 7700 kcal/kg conversion. Project weight + BMI 1-24 months out at any calorie delta. Compare maintain / cut / bulk side by side.
How the math works
Standard sports-medicine equations stitched into a month-by-month projection.
- BMR (Mifflin-St Jeor 1990):
10 × kg + 6.25 × cm − 5 × age + (5 if male else −161) - TDEE: BMR × activity factor (1.2 sedentary up to 1.9 athletic).
- Weight projection: dailyCalorieDelta ÷ 7700 kcal/kg = daily kg change. Compounded month-by-month with BMR recomputed at the new weight.
Why 7700 kcal/kg? Wishnofsky 1958 textbook conversion (1 lb fat ≈ 3500 kcal × 2.2 = 7700/kg). Real-world results vary because of metabolic adaptation, water shifts, lean-mass loss, sleep/stress hormones, and adherence — none of which the simple model captures. Treat the projection as a directional anchor, not a forecast.
Three-scenario chart shows maintain (0 kcal delta), cut (-500), and bulk (+300) at the same baseline so you can see the relative slopes side by side.
